On 3 October 2026, Sarajevo hosted an international orienteering event as part of ORIUNITE, co-funded by the European Union. With 59 participants in total, the event was a great success, bringing people together for a day of sport, exploration and shared experiences. 191 participants joined a unique cross-border orienteering experience connecting Hungary, Austria and Slovenia On 30 August 2026, the ORIUNITE project brought together 191 participants for the 3 Borders Orienteering Event, held in the remarkable area where Hungary, Austria and Slovenia meet. Organised by Sibaris Club Hungary, the event invited participants to navigate a single orienteering course extending across three different countries. On May 22, Nicosia witnessed a remarkable display of unity and sportsmanship as 54 participants took part in an orienteering race organized under the ORIUNITE project. The event was more than a sporting challenge — it was a journey across the city’s historic divide, beginning in the Greek Cypriot-controlled south, crossing the UN-patrolled buffer zone, and concluding in the Turkish Cypriot north.
