From November 21st to 23rd, 2025, representatives from seven countries gathered in snowy Zagreb for the first international training of the ORIUNITE – Orienteering for Unity project. Hosted by the Croatian Orienteering Federation and coordinated by ORIENTACTION (Cyprus), the training brought together educators, sport operators, youth workers and orienteering experts to explore how orienteering can serve as a powerful tool for peacebuilding, inclusion, and cross-border cooperation. On 3 November 2025, the European project ORIUNITE – Orienteering for Unity and Inclusion in Europe will be officially presented during the international conference “Nicosia: Europe’s Divided Capital”, organised by London Metropolitan University with the support of the A.G. Leventis Foundation. The conference, focused on reconciliation in divided cities and post-conflict territories, gathered experts, activists, academics, and civil society organisations to discuss innovative practices in the field of peacebuilding, intercultural dialogue, and youth engagement.
